7.7 FK-17 Field Artillery Battery

In the beginning of the war, FK 17s were grouped
into batteries at the divisional and regimental level.
The small size of the shell proved to be less effective
than larger howitzers at preparational barrages. Their
relatively light weight and higher fire rate, though,
proved to be beneficial when they were placed in
smaller batteries at the battalion or company level.
By the time of the Martian landing most infantry
battalions had at least a small battery of FK 17s.
